I'm learning japanese. this question is for people who have studied it before. how long did you study before you became fluent? did you learn it on your own or did you take a class?. Well...i just started learning japanese a few weeks ago and already am surprised at how fast i'm going. the syllabaries were quite easy to learn. i learned hiragana in three days and katakana in one and already know enough kanji to pass the jlpt for beginners (80 kanji right?).. Reddit has thousands of vibrant communities with people that share your interests. asking "how do i learn japanese?" but it does take a long time..
